Bridging Extravaganza!

We had a lot of fun yesterday celebrating the year and bridging the Daisies to Brownies. The weather was stormy on our way to the preserve, but Mother Nature must have known how important the ceremony was to our girls - the weather cleared up for us as soon as we arrived. After enjoying dinner, we took our hike through the preserve and had our bridging ceremony. Cami and Emma did a beautiful job, walking each Daisy over the bridge. After the hike, our "New Brownies and Old Brownies" all enjoyed freshly baked brownies for dessert.

Mad Science Party

The girls all seemed to thoroughly enjoy the Mad Science Party yesterday at Girl Scouts. It was awesome that the scientist was a girl and even more special was that she is a former Girl Scout herself! The girls learned about solids, liquids and gasses, developed their own hypothesis, saw lots of super cool experiments, and even made their own slime to take home. Totally, totally cool!!

Cookie Season is Over!!

We had a very successful cookie booth last night which concluded the cookie season this year. We sold 102 boxes of cookies at the booth (the picture below is at the cookie booth - sorry Ella, this is the only picture I took during the booth, and was taken before you got there), bringing our grand total to 1167 boxes sold for the troop!

Ella was the top seller for the year and sold a total of 288 boxes. Tyler came in second, with 207 boxes, and Cami was right behind with 193 boxes!

We will finalize our plans soon for the event we are going to do with our cookie earnings. Congratulations to the entire troop on a very successful cookie season!

Papa Murphy's Field Trip

The girls had a fantastic time at our Papa Murphy's field trip last night. The owner first gave the girls a tour of the restaurant, pointing out where things are stored, how things are cleaned, and they even got to go into the walk-in cooler. After the tour the girls cut some vegetables and worked up an appetite for pizza they ate next. Then they prepared their own "Mini-Murph" pizzas to take home, and prepared a S'mores pizza to bring home. The owner was so thorough with her training, and was so very generous with feeding us and sending home all the treats.

Please consider patronizing Papa Murphy's when you're ordering pizza for your family. The restaurant was ultra clean and the owner and staff were so kind, generous and accommodating.
